We will take responsibility so future generations can live
We teach composting at organizational and personal level and expand from that to leave no traces behind
Humans have lived on earth for about 200,000 years but only in past two hundred years we have damaged the earth more than all previous generations combined and the damage is accelerating. Last few generations have made human life much more comfortable. We don’t have to give up on all the comfort but this may be our last chance to save the future generations by thinking about our unique planet that makes life possible. We are committing to taking action by remembering to not leave traces of our life that damage the earth.
Our Organization
Our impact on earth is simpler to understand and modify by being mindful of our daily living. We commit to work on an achievable road map and bring composting at the center of it.
It has to start with one
Are you ready to take the next steps? Pledge to make these changes in your life and your organization… then spread the word. You will notice that the pledge is not for hard actions but for thoughtful actions. Actions that result from our understanding are more impactful and likely to last.
I will learn about composting and put efforts into implementing it. See resources below.
Every time I touch anything made of plastic, I will think - Is it necessary? Is there an alternative?
Looking at energy use, I will be thoughtful of it’s impact. How much do I need? Is an alternative source possible? Think solar, wind, electric.
Happiness and things. Do I need more things to be happy. Where can I reduce my consumption?
Why Compost?
This is a simple video that helps understand why we chose composting as our core strategy. Once you throw something in trash can then you have no control on where it ends up and how it may damage the environment. It is much more impactful to minimize the trash we generate. Two key ingredients for that are reducing overconsumption and composting.
How to get started?
Once you get started, composting is simpler than it sounds. This video gives you some options but there are more. We like these options for individuals and small organizations. Some people in apartment go with devices like Lomi and Vitamix which are even easier to use but with a component of electricity use. Our goal is to continue to increase the education and resources related to composting. We also want to develops systems to spread the word out. If you want to be involved then please reach out to us.
How can I help?
-

I want to donate
We suggest prioritizing taking actions in your community over giving money to us. If you still want to give then our goal is get the maximum impact for your money. To do that we find the need and 100% of your money goes to that without any organizational expenses for us.
How it started
Like many of our generations I though about environment every now and then. When it came time for my eagle scout project, I chose developing composting at temple. As simple as it sounded it was a journey that taught me a lot. It is easy to think and be angry about what the generations before us have done, but it takes commitment to make even small changes to make a difference. Next step was composting at home. These lead to multiple people coming up and asking questions. Now we have an organization to promote simple changes at individual, family and organizational level.
